Leptin Resistance

Leptin resistance, in the simplest terms, occurs when the brain is no longer able to register enough food has been eaten.

It is caused by high fructose consumption, high stress levels, a diet high in carbohydrates and high insulin levels.

Insulin Resistance

Insulin resistance, in the simplest terms, occurs when too many carbohydrates are eaten and blood sugar in the blood stream is raised.

Insulin normally regulates the blood sugar in by directing it to the cells for use or storage. When the cells stop responding to this insulin regulation, the sugar remains in the blood, and this is known as insulin resistance.

It is caused by eating a diet too high in simple carbohydrates.

Adrenaline Resistance

One of the roles of adrenaline is to stimulate fat cells to release energy and signal for leptin to be released to the brain.

When adrenaline is not balanced, adrenaline resistance can be present, and decreases the metabolism of fat cells. They become sluggish, making it easier for them to accumulate fat and more difficult to eliminate stored fat.

20 – 50g of carbs per day.

Protein intake 1.1g , per kg of weight, per day.
Sufficient saturated fat to manage hunger levels. If hunger is present, increase saturated fat intake.

Liberal

50 – 100g of carbs per day.

Protein intake 1,2g – 1,4g / per kg of weight, per day.

Sufficient saturated fat to manage hunger levels. If hunger is present, increase saturated fat intake.
